It is very important to generate the wish and aspiration to study and practice. However, mere prayers and wishes are not enough. We must engage in sincere effort. Do not separate between spiritual and daily life as if the two are like water and oil. Do not feel discourage thinking that you cannot do much for the dharma. Instead, generate the great rejoice for your own present fortune. Rejoice for whatever level you are practicing now and generate the wish to develop. Do not put poison into your own nectar. If you create your own poison and drink it by yourself, you will certainly die. Instead, pluck up the courage and fulfill your destiny, just like what Je Rinpoche did! ~ Ven. Lobsang Oser
